These are the cards that the 1st through 4th players won, they look awesome and I am so jealous that I could not be at worlds! I definitely want to win one of these in my Pokemon career!
Card OverviewSeismitoad EX is basic EX Pokemon with: 180hp, two attacks, a weakness to Grass, and a three retreat cost. Seismitoad's attacks are Quaking Punch and Grenade Hammer. Quaking Punch does 30 damage for two Colorless Energy, and you opponent can't use Item cards from their hands during their next turn. Seismitoads second attack costs two Water Energy and one Colorless Energy. Grenade Hammer does 130 damage but, it does 30 damage to two of your benched Pokemon. Involving this Card
Overall RatingI would rate Seismitoad EX a 8 out of 10! Seimitoad cannot deal out huge amounts of damage without hurting your bench, or without a Mr. Mime on the bench. However, when Mr. Mime is on the bench you can deal out huge damage. Seismitoad can also can stop your opponent from using any Item cards on his or her next turn, which can do some major damage if their deck revolves around using Item cards.
I will soon be receiving a Booster Box of Furious Fists! I will be posting the results of the packs as well as packs that I have already opened! Stay tuned for more information, Play On!
Card OverviewLucario EX is a basic EX Pokemon with: 180hp, three attacks, a weakness to Psychic, and a two retreat cost. Lucario's attacks are Missile Jab, Corkscrew Smash, and Somersault Kick. Missile Jab does 30 damage for one Fighting Energy and it is not affected by Resistance, so this attack will always do 30 damage in the very least. Corkcrew Smash might be Lucario's best attack, Corkscrew Smash does 60 damage for two Fighting Energy, and you get to draw until you have 6 cards in your hand. Lastly, Somersault Kick does 100 damage for three Fighting Energy. Involving this Card
Overall RatingI would rate Lucario EX, out of 10, a 9. Lucario is rated so highly because he can do a guaranteed 70 damage on his weakest attack if he is powered to the maximum, and 140 when his most powerful attack is powered up. Lucario is a huge threat and his attacks do a huge amount of damage for his low energy cost. Lucario EX is one of the best cards to come out of Furious Fists, and his Mega Evolution is also one of the best cards to come out of the newest set!
Here's a photo for Proof!I do not find it a surprise that Nintendo has finally realized what the Smart Phone Market has to offer. Magic: The Gathering has been on the Appstore for quite a while and it is the perfect medium for card games. The new Pokemon game on the iPad has been promoted throughout the whole World Pokemon Championship this weekend. But Nintendo does not have a timetable for the official release. What do you guys think? Would you get this app?
Card OverviewVensaur EX is a basic EX Pokemon with: 180hp, two attacks, a weakness to Fire type, and a very high four retreat cost. Vensaur's attacks are Poison Powder and Jungle Hammer. Poison Powder does 60 damage and poisons the opponents active Pokemon for one Grass and two Colorless, while Jungle Hammer, for two Grass and two Colorless, does 90 damage and heals 30 damage from Vensaur EX. Involving this CardVensaur EX has some very strong attacks that aren't that difficult to power up. If you use Vensaur EX you must use Double Colorless Energies or else it will just take way to long to start attacking with him. Vensaur's first attack however works well if you have a Virbank City Gym in play, increasing his damage to 90. When I played with Vensaur I found that to be the best strategy to knock out opponents quickly, if you have Virbank in play Vensaur does 120 total when it is your turn again. Because of the poison damage I found out that you never really need to use Muscle Bands when you play with Vensaur. Vensaur's retreat cost can be a nuisance, he has the highest possible retreat cost in the game, so if you use Vensaur EX I would use Float Stones or use Switches in your deck. Overall RatingI would rate Vensaur EX a 7 out of 10. Vensaur's retreat cost and the amount of Energy is what holds Vensaur back. Vensaur's attacks however are very strong and deal out crushing amounts of damage that can kill most, if not all EX in two turns! Vensaur is a good addition to any deck that wants to deal out a lot of Poison damage!
Furious FistsHi, here with another deck idea, and this one is a real fun one. The main focus of this deck is to have either Pangoro or Landorus to come out and become the main attackers, but this deck has a lot of versatility to it, because you can use almost any of your Pokemon as your main attacker. Mienshao is one interesting card because his attack that only costs one Fighting Type Energy can do up to 80 damage as long as you have a Muscle Band and a Strong Energy attached to him. Mienshao will also not stay poisoned because he will go back into your hand. This can prove to be useful. I haven't had the chance to get Machamp out and attack yet, because of this I do not know if it should be used in this deck that focused on strong and cheap attacks. Machamp will be easily replaced by another Pangoro line and one Landorus. Just FYI, I do not have all the cards I wanted to make this deck, so I had to make due with what I had. I really like this deck a lot, but I cannot judge it on what I don't have, so as it is standing I would give it a 8 out of 10. The Machamp really just proves to be a bog down on everything else, and it doesn't have cheap attack, however Machamp powered up can prove to do some fatal damage.
Card OverviewPangoro is a Stage 1 Dark Pokemon with: 120 hp, 2 attacks, a weakness to Fighting Pokemon, a Resistance to Psychic Pokemon, and a retreat cost of three. Pangoro's attacks are Clobber, which does a base damage of 30, and can do an additional 40 damage, a total of 70, for one Dark and one Colorless type energy. Hammer Arm does 80 damage for one Dark and two Colorless energy. Involving this Card
Overall RatingI am really in love with this card, and he is quickly becoming my favorite card of Furious Fists. I am somewhat disappointed in myself for missing the potential he has in my initial review of Furious Fists. Pangoro, in my opinion, is a 10 out of 10, he is versatile and can work in most decks because of his requirement of only one Dark Energy. Look to see Pangoro as a cornerstone in some decks!
